Standardization Administration of China (SAC/TC 41)

This committee is supervised by State Forestry Administration and Standardization Administration of the People’s Republic of China. There are two branch-committees, namely round-sawn standard and basic standard.
History：It was established in August 1984. In December 1990, the 2nd committee was established. In November 2005, the 3rd committee was established.
Scope: Standardization of round, sawn and processed timber, Structural use timber and timber materials in and for use in all applications, including terminology, specifications and test methods.
Task: Developing national and industrials standards on timber; taking on relevant technical work of the ISO/TC218 on timber.
More than 100 standards including 66 national standards and 43 industrial standards under the direct responsibility of the SAC/TC41 Secretariat have been published and actualized until the end of 2006.
The Secretariat of the Commission is located in the Research Institute of Wood Industry, Chinese Academy of Forestry.
